bitch disco

one of the places michael (see previous post) took me was this place called trut, which means "bitch". i dunno if i've ever been to a hole-in-the-wall dance club, maybe re-bar, but this was what you would qualify as one. dark non-descript entrance, dark inside with bad lighting and bad sound system. it felt more like a house party in someone's basement than a disco. but the best part about this place is it is dirt cheap, from its cover to its drinks. the reason it is so cheap is the place us run by a non-profit gay lesbian organization and (the best part) everyone working is a volunteer. i don't i've been to any such events where the bartenders and djs were doing it for free.

at the bitch, i met and talked to a student attending the international school in amsterdam who is from new jersey. she is studying sexuality and gender focusing on women who have sex with other women in public. it was a fun conversation to have after a couple beers.
