theater queen

hopefully, you can see what is going on in this scene in plague over england. the play tells about the arrest of a famous stage actor in 1950s england arrested for solicitated sex in a public lavoratory during a time where there was an increased effort to eliminate the gays. i'm not sure how much of the play was historical in terms of gay prosecution and the character in it, but the whole famous person nabbed in a public restroom and outed as a result was very george michael. despite moments where i was trying to keep a wham song out of my head, the show was quite pleasing. there were also other sub plots. a gay college student falling in love, a gay cop whose assignment is to find those who are looking for immoral restroom behavior. i haven't enjoyed this much in awhile. glad i saw it.
